Expert Witness Services
EF & T has provided expert witness services to attorneys representing both plaintiffs or defendants. EF & T is not an advocate but can be depended upon to provide unbiased opinions based on the facts of a case and other information that becomes available through research. In addition to material provided through the discovery process, our research includes use of our extensive library and laboratory facilities. In those cases where expertises beyond the scope of EF & T’s are required, we will work with other experts and laboratories to form a working team.
The principal, John E. Johnson, Ph. D., P.E. is a communicator who can effectively explain scientific findings and results. His experience in teaching, research, failure analysis, and accident reconstruction spans over 35 years.

On-site inspection, laboratory testing, review of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations. At his state-of-the-art laboratory, he is able to initiate testing and provide documentation of product properties, structural design, as well as "autopsies" of building failures. Test results that yield hard data about the product or system failure. He can prepare case-related exhibits such as models, photographic enlargements or video documentation.
