When a product (or any object) has failed it is usually necessary to determine how and especially why failure occurred. Sometimes a theoretical analysis is sufficient to determine the cause. In other situations, testing is required. In still other situations a combination of both theoretical and testing is required.

Special consideration must be given to the materials used. There are literally a countless number of different types of steel, of different type of aluminum, of different types of plastics, and the list continues. Special consideration must be also given to the environmental conditions of the product (or the object) will be subjected. If testing is required, special consideration must be given to design the test in such a manner that the results will be meaningful and useful.

EF&T has been performing material failure analysis for 28 years using both theoretical tools as well as designing special test set ups. Please call us if you feel we may be of possible help.
